Geek World Visits Smallville!

To commemorate the finale of Smallville (Airing this Friday at 8pm on The CW) we put together some of the footage we took back in 2007 when we visited the Smallville set and traveled around Vancouver visiting Smallville locations like the Kent farm and the Daily Planet.

We Love Smallville!

Geek World Visits Earth 2!

We went to Sherman Oaks today to help celebrate the 8th Anniversary of Earth 2! This comic store rocks for many reasons, one of which is they always seem to have all of the comics we need at the time. Also check out these pictures, they have the actual Justice Society of America painting from the set of Smallville (Above)! Also a door covered with sketches from comic book artists (Below) !!!! Awesome!!!

If your in the Sherman Oaks area, and hankering for some comics, check them out:

Smallville's 200th Episode Won its Time Slot!

Hey check this out from Ain't It Cool news:

Smallville’s 200th episode edged out CBS’ Medium to win the 8 p.m. Friday timeslot. It’s exceedingly rare for any CW show to win its timeslot.

It was a great episode! Smallville High Reunion, James Marsters appearing as Brainiac 5 from the future, Tom Welling playing Clark Kent in 2017 (glasses and all)!  It even had songs from the pilot!

How many shows get better in their 8th-10th seasons?

Getting Really Upset About Smallville!!! Superman's New Costume Needs a Doctor, but Who?

Smallville is in its 10th season now (that's right, you read correctly, tenth season!!!) so all bets are off. We've seen Clark fighting crime in red jackets before, but not tiny red leather jackets that seem to be paying homage to one of our favorite shows, Doctor Who!

So just in case you're unclear, Clark Kent's new costume looks
EXACTLY LIKE MARTHA JONES' OUTFIT!!!

It's creepy, same jacket, same blue shirt underneath, black pants. It's like they went online and ordered the "Doctor Who: Martha Jones" costume in XXL.

At least we've seen the real Superman costume behind ice in the Fortress of Solitude, but couldn't they at least have dressed him like The Doctor instead of one of his companions?

Remember WB, bow ties are cool, dressing Superman like a girl... not so much!

Misguided homage aside, We Love Smallville!

SMALLVILLE SEASON 10!!!!!!!

Photo Property of the CW Network

YEAH!!!!!!!! Smallville got an early renewal from the CW!!

If you listen to the show you know that we love us some Smallville, and the fact that it's had a renaissance the last few seasons after Gough and Millar left just impresses us even more! Even though last season it was moved to the TV Phantom Zone of Friday, it still got remarkable ratings for a show on the CW, and a show on Friday (when it moved to Friday it became Network TV's #1 show during that hour in men 18-34 and 18-49, thank you Erica Durance)! Welling's returning and hopefully the rest of the cast as well.  Like I said on todays show I hope that this show never ends, and who knows maybe it never will!

Smallville's the new Gunsmoke!!!

It's All About Smallville Baby!

So Smallville has been making headlines this month. Erica Durance (Smallville's Lois Lane) graces the cover of Maxim while Smallville's newest hero Supergirl herself Laura Vandervoort flew onto the cover of Stuff.

Then we have our own Geek World headline: we got interviews with some of the cast of Smallville and we'll be playing some of them this Saturday (don't worry I'll post the link once we have the interview shows archived online).

Don't forget the new season of Smallville starts tomorrow (Thursday, September 27) with an episode called Bizarro, that's right we get to see Tom Welling playing Clark Kent & Bizarro (it should be interesting to see how they interpret that character). It looks like this might be one of the most exciting seasons yet. New characters (such as Supergirl mentioned above) will be joining the cast while characters we thought were gone for good are coming back (namely James Marsters as Brainiac). Plus some actors from the Superman universe will make appearances (can you say Dean Cain & Helen Slater).

This season expect to see more of the Martian Manhunter and let's not forget our favorite members of the Justice League (who may have acquired some new members). Plus this is supposedly Michael Rosenbaum's last season so it will be interesting to see if Lex Luthor goes completely over to the dark side.
