This Week's Show: Mortal Kombat, Doctor Who, Anime and The Playstation Network Blues

On this week's episode we take a trip through time and space to review the premiere of the 6th season of Doctor Who. Then we'll discuss the bloody history of the Mortal Kombat franchise and review the newly released 9th installment in the series. We'll also spend some time talking about some new animes like Deadman Wonderland, Steins Gate, Blue Exorcist, Toriko and Coffee Samurai.

Plus we'll talk about the first 2 episodes of HBO's badass fantasy show Game of Thrones, Smallville's Booster Gold/ Blue Beetle episode, and we sing a sad sad song about our Playstation Network Blues.

This week we're going on a valiant quest to the multiplex to review the new comedy Your Highness and the new action thriller Hanna. We'll also be reviewing Gulliver's Travels, Jack Black's disappointment of giant proportions coming out next week on DVD.

Then we'll change channels to discuss the finale of Syfy's Being Human, comparing it to the BBC original, while also reviewing new shows Workaholics and Breaking In. Plus we'll review the flawless victory that is Mortal Kombat: Legacy!

This week Geek World takes on a large variety of topics, ranging from the upcoming comic book movies we'll see in theaters this summer to Hollywood's recent obsession with medieval times (unfortunately not the sweet adventure themed restaurant but the new shows The Borgias and Game of Thrones). We'll also talk about Stan Lee and Arnold Schwarzenegger's strange new project The Governator, Grant Morrison's new Batman comic Batman: Incorporated and the amazing new AMC show The Killing.

Also great news! After a few painful post-Pain episodes, Naruto: Shippuden is awesome again!! We'll also talk about the new Green Lantern footage from WonderCon and the trailer for the Thundercats reboot.  Oh... and Brett Ratner's new plot to destroy the world, Chaos.
