You Just Got Served by the Justice League!!!
Have you ever thought to yourself "Hey I wonder what the world would be like if we had superheroes and instead of saving the day they would just sing and dance?" Well thanks to a Brazilian singing group? Dance troupe? Cult? from the 1970s you don't just have to imagine the possibility!
It's like Spider-Man and Thor joined the Justice League to fight the new Legion of Doom, lead by the Village People
Things we learned from this video:
1) Putting nipples on the batsuit is not the worst thing you could have done to Batman
2) Watch Thor dance at 1:37, now we know why he had weak chemistry with Jane Foster in Thor
3) I'm pretty sure Chris Brown stole his dance moves from Robin
(BTW, thanks for not making Wonder Woman suffer the indignity of participating in the 2nd video)
So... yeah... that happened... and we were kind enough to share it with you!
By the way, this is how The Justice League Stomps the Yard of the Hall of Justice in the 2000s:
Looks like we found the plot for Step Up 5!
And for those of you who think your kid's World of Warcraft addiction is bad:
It could be a lot worse.

This Week's Show!

On this week's show AnnaMay and Dave traveled to the East Coast and spent some time in Rochester, NY checking out the geeky fun of Roc-Con and reveling in the video game bonanza that is the The Strong Museum of Play's eGame Revolution!
We'll also continue our reviews of newly premiered fall shows like the T-Rex time traveling confusarama Terra Nova, and the big brother is pwning you action show Person of Interest. We'll also review the dish best served cold drama Revenge, 60's airplane fetish program Pan Am and the would-be-more-watchable-as-a-porno disgrace which is Charlie's Angels.
We're continuing our review of DC's all new 52 reboot, letting you know what the best and worst of last weeks comics were. From Batman and Catwoman getting freaky while Nightwing's at the Circus, to Red Hood and the Outlaws, where Starfire and Speedy get... well freaky, we'll talk about all the action, drama and sex of last weeks new 52.
All this and we're happily checking out the return of 2 of our favorite shows, Supernatural and Nikita!

This Week's Show! Somebody Save Us! Smallville Is Over!!!

This week's show celebrates 10 super seasons of Smallville. We'll review Smallville's epic 2-hour finale, talk about how Superboy became Superman, the ups and downs of a decade on TV, the plethora of DC characters that came through the show and some of the comically bizarre episodes that left us scratching our heads (did Clark really just save Santa Claus?). Also We'll discuss our 2007 trip up to the set of Smallville to interview the cast and see the cool sets!
All this and we'll talk about some of the new TV shows you'll see debuting this year, as well as some of the shows that have been canceled (Poor Wonder Woman).

HELL TO THE YEAH!!!! WONDER WOMAN!!!!

Photo via Superhero Hype
Awesome Awesome Awesome Awesome.
We're really happy about this look! Adrianne Palicki looks like Diana from the comic! The costume is a great meld of the classic comic costume, the 70's TV costume, and the new comic version with pants (replacing the weird black slacks)! Wow, this is now a fashion blog.
Magic Lasso, check! Bullet deflecting Silver Bracelets, check! Deadly throwable Tiarra, check! Super hot Wonder Woman, check!!!!!

Wonder Woman Has Been Cast and AnnaMay called it! (Are the studios listening?)

Left: Wonder Woman depicted by artist Karyn Lewis
Right: Adrianne Palicki promo photo for Lonestar
For years we have been discussing who we thought could take on the role of Wonder Woman if a movie or TV series ever made it to completion. AnnaMay has held firmly to her number one choice and today we found out that she made the right call! Adrianne Palicki has been confirmed as the new Wonder Woman and we could not be happier!
Maybe the studios are listening! Ever since we saw her as the fake Kara in Smallville we knew she could handle the role and Geek World can't wait to see how she does. Great choice NBC!
This clip of Geek World that aired FEB. 3 is one of the many times we lobbied for Adrienne!

Wonder Woman, Woooo-Man!
Alright so this Wonder Woman movie will probably never get made. Joss Whedon wasted 2 years of his life writing the script he was supposed to direct only to have WB give him the thumbs down. Who even knows if the charecter can bring in an audience at this point, Lynda Carter's version stopped airing almost 18 years ago, and unlike Batman, Superman or Spiderman that also had tv versions in the 50's, 60's and 70's respectively, Wonder Woman just doesn't have the same mass appeal. I could be wrong and I hope I am if the movie does get made because I'm a big fan of the DC cannon, and Wonder Woman is a cool charecter.
But even if this movie is in a stand still, there's always going to be casting rumors. Lot's of names have been rumored for the part, I remember years ago Sandra Bullock's name being mentioned, and supposedly Joss had Cobie Smulders from How I Met Your Mother in mind (but who knows maybe he was kidding?), even American Idol'r Katherine Mcphee (jeez, I mean she's hot, but I can only imagine her as like a Bond Girl or something). But the new casting rumor is down right horrible, like "Oh darn, your baby's a mutant freak horrible". Who could possibly be this bad of a choice?
KATIE HOLMES!!!!!
What the Hell? Seriously? I mean it's just a rumor, and it seems like one she's propagating, but seriously? I mean let's not even get into the fact she might have bore the Anti-Christ, or if nothing else that weird ghost spirit from Ghost Busters II, but she's just a terrible, terrible actress. Listen, I know it's Wonder Woman, we don't need like Dame Judy Dench or Cate Blanchett or a "real actress" per-say, but freaking Katie Holmes? It's not bad enough she nearly ruined the amazing Batman Begins with her dinner theater acting? Now she needs to soil Wonder Woman? Does she own stock in Marvel? Did some one wearing a Green Lantern shirt hurt her when she was a child? The only thing I ever liked her in was Sam Raimi's The Gift and it was because of (Hey if you like under 18, don't click the link, NSFW) THIS heart warming scene. According to the article she wants to get back into acting and thinks this is a great role, please, please do not hire her WB.
Now on to who I think should play Wonder Woman. There was a time that I thought Jessica Biel would be perfect. She's beautiful, athletic and a pretty muscular, but not so much that she's unfeminite. I mean look at this.
You Must Have Seen These By Now
Apparently she can kinda act, according to some people who saw the Illusionist. I liked her abs alot in Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and she was hot in Blade Trinity (easily one of the worst movies ever made), and she was really slutty in Rules Of Attraction, though I can't really tell if she can act. Either way Jessica Biel has taken a back seat to my new nominee who would be perfect for Wonder Woman, and that young lady is...
Michelle Ryan
I liked her in the Bionic Woman pilot, she's gorgeous, athletic, and kinda tall for a girl at 5'7, not exactly an amazon but that's pretty tall, though Lynda Carter is 5'9. She does action really well and got an american accent down really quickly, but it wasen't until we started watching the BBC show Jekyll that I knew she was perfect.
For one she can actually act, which made me happy because I wasen't so sure with the short BW pilot we saw at Comic-Con, but mostly she reminded me alot of Lynda Carter in the show. She has pulled back brown hair, she's in ridiculously tight clothes, and she's got a broader frame (only in that she's not some freaky meth stick, there's nothing un-feminite about this chick) that makes you believe she could put up a goodfight, and that she is more of an amazon.
So that's it, hell no on Katie, love ya Cobie, love ya Jessica, but the new British import Michelle Ryan gets my pick for WW, and Michelle you can totally lasso me with your Lasso Of Truth, I ain't going to lie to you baby.
