The David Belle Interview Is Almost Here!

Hey geeks and geekettes! Just wanted to remind everyone about the David Belle interview that will play during the show tomorrow (Thursday at 12 Noon PST) on http://www.925kyhy.com/. I know some of you were worried about missing the show and the interview so I want to make sure you all know that there's no need to worry. We plan to get the podcast of the show up by Friday but we'll also have just the interview without the rest of the show for all of you David Belle fans. We're going to try to have the transcript up by Friday at the latest (best case scenario, we'll have the transcript up as soon as the interview finishes airing). Since we only speak English if anyone can give us a hand and translate the transcript for us into any other language (we really mean any language - anything from Spanish to Klingon) we'd really appreciate it. Keep checking back here for more!!

What In Terminator Geek's Name is a Pacificor?

TerminatorDVD
Photo Property of MGM

We've been talking about what would happen to the Terminator franchise after the rights went up for grabs and now we finally have an answer... sort of.

Lionsgate & Sony were duking it out and I think we all expected one of them to walk away with the rights but alas they (and all the other bidders) were out-maneuvered, out-bid, and outdone by Pacificor!

So, what the heck is Pacificor and what will they do with the franchise? I have no fracking idea! If I have my information right Pacificor is a Hedge Fund, that's right geeks & geekettes it's not a studio or a production company or even a really rich actor. These are not movie makers! We can only hope that they are a really geeky group that wanted to make sure that people could erase T3, Sarah Connor Chronicles, & Terminator Salvation from their collective consciousness and bring us back to the glory of Terminator and T2! Ahhh my wishful thinking.

So, Pacificor, I have no idea who you are and no idea what your plans are for the franchise but I have two words for you to consider: Joss Whedon!
Sure he only offered $10,000 for the rights, but with ideas like musical and porn how could he go wrong? His "open letter" may have been a joke but Joss is one of the few people that has the potential to breathe new life into Terminator. So Pacificor, whoever you are, the ball is in your court! You could let someone like a Joss Whedon take the reins or you could do something really dumb like letting McG helm it.

Of course they may never do anything with the franchise. Maybe they just wanted to piss off the people at Lionsgate & Sony (and boy did they). So let's hope our Terminator is not lost forever and that Pacificor does the right thing (whatever that may be).

OHHHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHH!!!!!!

THE LAST AIRBENDER TV SPOT!!!!

I didn't see this during the Super Bowl, but when I saw it online a couple of days ago I watched it like 10 times in a row!!! I love this spot! It clearly goes through the big moments of Book 1 of Avatar: The Last Airbender and it looks really really awesome! The slow-mo shot of the Fire Nation attacking the North Water Tribe with Aang in the foreground is enough for me to be excited, not to mention Aang surrounded by them and still kicking ass. Also great work showcasing Noah Ringers abilities as Aang, hopefully silencing critics unhappy that a white kid is playing the part, as long as he's the best for the role that's what matters, and clearly the kids got some awesome skills (I don't care that he's 12, I'm not messing with him!). Go M. Night!!
