92.5 KYHY Is Now Indie 100!!!!!

92.5 KYHY has officially changed it's name to Indie 100. You'll still get all the same great shows, independent music and talk that you got from 92.5 KYHY, they're literally just changing the name (we didn't get bought out by an evil corporation or anything)! So let everyone know that Indie 100 is the new name but everything you love about the station will remain the same!

If you guys have any questions or comments send us an email to GeekWorld@Indie100.com.

Make sure to listen to Geek World every Thursday and Friday at 12 Noon (PST) on www.Indie100.com

If you have any problems with the Indie 100 site don't worry the site for 9.25 KYHY is still up to make sure you don't miss any of your favorite shows!

Check Out What Bill Plympton Drew For Us!

After we interviewed Bill Plympton last week at House of Secrets (check out pics from the event), he drew some of his characters for us! AnnaMay gets Guard Dog, Dave gets a cow (does he want to be a hamburger?).

If you missed our interview with 2 time Oscar nominated animator Bill Plympton, you can hear it tomorrow (Friday-8/12) at Noon (PST) on Indie 100 (92.5 KYHY FM is still in the process of its conversion into Indie 100, you saw The Fly, transformation takes time!).

For more about Bill Plympton and his work check out his website: www.plymptoons.com

Doctor Who at Comic-Con!

We were so excited to see so much Doctor Who cosplay at this year's San Diego Comic-Con! In fact we took so many photos with a Doctor Who theme that we devoted an entire page of the photo album to Doctor Who at SDCC 2011!

If I could travel through time and space I would definitely stop at Comic-Con!

Would you like some Jelly Babies?

Whatever you do, don't blink!

It was a little awkward asking if I could take a photo of her Bad Wolf!

Best Hats Ever!

Why Politicians in Japan are cooler than Politicians in the US: COSPLAY!!!

A Japanese Mayor and Governor were at the World Cosplay Summit in Nagoya, and they rule!

From io9:

Nagoya City Mayor Takashi Kawamura and Aichi Prefectural Governor Hideaki Ohmura cosplayed as Dragon Ball antagonist Piccolo and Space Battleship Yamato antagonist Lord Dessler, respectively, for World Cosplay Summit (WCS) 2011 this week. Nagoya, the capital of Aichi, has hosted the international cosplay event every year since 2003. This year, teams from 17 countries took part.

After D.C. politicians screwed us all over with the debt ceiling, the least they can do is cosplay for our enjoyment (We think Team Rocket would be appropriate)!
