GEEKIN SAW SAW
Geekin was too polite to say anything but we heard him grumble "are they ever going to stop making these?"
We responded, "No Geekin, they will never stop as long as they make money"
Geekin took a moment and said "then this one should have at least been in space"
We agree Geekin... we agree

Lost/Supernatural - We're Not the Only Ones to See the Similarities
So if you tuned into our episode last week you heard us go on and on about Mark Pellegrino playing Satan on Supernatural and Jacob on Lost and it seems we are not the only ones who see the similarities (or this guy heard our show and decided to take the idea and write about it - btw we're totally ok with that, it just reminds us of how awesome we are).
Take a listen to this clip of Geek World (AnnaMay, Dave, & our guest Brian) where we talk about our Lost/Supernatural theory:
http://www.geekworldradio.com/audio/GW_LOST_SUPERNATURAL.mp3
And here's the article the article by some dude from today (February 25, 2010).
We hadn't heard anybody mention the similarities in the characters or even the [fake] possibility of a crossover prior to our show (which btw was recorded on Feb. 13, 2010) but now we get it all. I guess all I can say is 'hey dude, thanks for drawing out the chart to explain our point'. Geek World rules, it's like we're innovators of thought! Next we'll be hearing everybody talk about our Lost/Gilgamesh (Jacob/Man in Black Gilgamesh/Enkidu) theory!

Can the Real Captain America Please Standup?
If you listen to the show you know that we don't tape live, so since we recorded the Marvel show the list for possible Captain America's (for The First Avenger: Captain America) has dramatically changed... not for the better.
Our first list came from a few places like this, and it's:
Chris Pine
Ryan McPartlin
Jensen Ackles
Chad Michael Murry
But with the ever mercurial nature of Hollywood casting, apparently this is the new list:
John Krasinski
Micheal Cassidy
Patrick Flueger
Scott Porter
Mike Vogel
We gotta say, we like all these guys from the work they've done (we've even interviewed Micheal Cassidy for Smallville) but we can't help but think... what is this, the Bucky list? I mean the guys from the first list make sense (except Chad Micheal Murry), they're all big blonde dudes who you can see donning the mask, but Jim from the Office? For real? Granted all these guys could be bulked up but we just don't see it. We had actually thought of Scott Porter for Cap last year, he seems the most likely of the new list.
That being said we'd be fine with these guys playing Bucky, he was one of the first sidekicks and he totally exploded trying to stop Baron Zemo! As far as sidekicks go he's pretty awesome, I mean as well as helping Captain America punch Hitler, Bucky and the Human Torch's sidekick Toro led a gang of youths in "Young Allies Comics". So take that Robin!
Our top pick is still Ryan McPartlin, I mean he's tall, muscular, blonde, and his character on Chuck is named Captain Awesome!!!

Have you seen Andrew Koenig?
Picture Via IMDB
This isn't a funny or snarky post, we here at Geek World love Star Trek and all those who have starred in the franchises over the years, and it breaks our heart that Walter Koenig's (the original Chekov) son Andrew (you may remember him from Growing Pains) has been missing for over a week. He was last seen in Vancouver, if you have any info please call the Vancouver Police at 604-717-2534.
We hope for his safe return, and our hearts go out to the Koenig family
UPDATE:
Andrew's body was found in Stanley Park in Vancouver. Foul play is not suspected. Our thoughts are with his family in this time of tragedy.
