This Week's Show!

We have a great show for you this week.

We start off with an in studio guest, actor and director Jeff Rector, who is also the President of the Burbank International Film Festival. We talk to him about the festival (which takes place September 5-9) and about his past work as an actor with credits in Star Trek: The Next Generation, Sliders, and Veronica Mars.

Plus we play more interviews from San Diego Comic-Con. This time we have clips with famed Incredible Hulk comic writer Peter David, and Jace Hall (The Jace Hall Show), who talk about their new shows on Stan Lee's World of Heroes (for those of you who don't know that's Stan Lee's new YouTube channel). Find out who would win in a fight between Superman and The Hulk, what Peter thought of The Avengers, and which beer Stan Lee would choose at a superhero bar!

We also take a little time to talk about what we want to see from the next Batman trilogy, talk a little about the Olympics and discuss some crazy Geek News of the Week.

All this and much more on Geek World this Thursday and Friday at Noon (PST) on Indie 100, with replays throughout the week on The Point. And welcome to our new listeners over at Shellies!

Don't forget to go to YouTube.com/GeekWorldRadio to see all of the latest videos we've posted and shared, and be sure to subscribe!

Geekin Vancouver!

Geekin_Vancouver

In honor of the Winter Olympics, Geekin traveled to Vancouver to point out the grass roofed stadium (they're raising bees up there, mostly cause Mark Wahlberg was concerned about the bees, and what's happening with them) and that Chevron station right in the middle of the water!

Olympic Geekiness: Figure Skating Edition

Tuesday night Geek World was watching the Male Figure Skating competition (hey don't judge us man!) and one of the Japanese skaters, Nobunari Oda (2009 Japanese Champion), according to the NBC commentator is "the 17th descendant of Nobunaga Oda... the famous Japanese Warlord, 1534-1582 in the age of the Japanese Civil War... inspiration for the Super Nintendo video game series Nobunaga's Ambition." First off, nice geeksearch NBC, secondly, it's just kinda awesome!
