This Week's Show!

On this week's show we'll play our interviews from the red carpet of Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan's Hope. We talked to the director Morgan Spurlock and some of the stars of the documentary, along with the creator of The Walking Dead, Robert Kirkman, and the immortal Stan Lee!

We'll review the high altitude action of the Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol Blu-ray/DVD combo (out April 17) and battle invisible aliens with the Blu-ray for The Darkest Hour (out now). Also we'll draw up some design specs to review Syfy's new reality show Dream Machines.

Plus we're extending our "Make Geek World Laugh contest so you still have a chance to win DVD copies of Comedy Central stand-up specials Jo Koy: Lights Out and JB Smoove: That's How I Dooz It.

All this and much more on this week's episode of Geek World, this Thursday and Friday at Noon (PST) on Indie 100, with replays throughout the week on The Point.

I have to say I was pretty disappointed with The Darkest Hour, and my expectations were fairly low, so that’s saying something. But on the bright side, I love SyFy’s new show: Dream Machines! I’m particularly excited for tonight’s episode where they design something for 50 Cent, especially since I just got HD equipment installed and a new 1080p, 48” Sony TV. I’ve been browsing the expansive list of HD channels I have, and wow could I get used to this. I wish I’d upgraded sooner, especially since DISH, my employer, has been offering the HD Free for Life promotion for a while now, so other than the TV (which I got a good deal on), this boost in quality isn’t costing me a thing!
